Abstract

This study is intended to highlight the narrative structure in the novel “Janoubi”, written by Ramadan Rawashdeh, and explore its elements & most prominent components adopted by the novelist. 

To achieve this goal, the researcher followed the analytical approach. This study consists of an introduction, which has to do with the narrative work, the study’s aim, questions & vitality, literature review and methodology. Followed by a preface dealing with the writer’s biography and his novel”Janoubi”( From the South).The study was divided into 4 themes: 1. Narrative thresholds, the title, dedication and cover page .2. Time structure pertaining chronology, duration of time, retrieval & anticipation, place structure which consist of closed space such as the house & prison, in addition to open space like the university, Amman city as space of refuge & citizenship, the fabric of Ammani characteristic, and Irbid as the dream city.3.The narrative character 4. The writer & narrative identity. Finally, the study presents a conclusion with a summary of outcomes were addressed.
