Abstract
This research sought to identify the role of distance learning, in light of Covid-19 pandemic, in promoting the concept of democratic education as perceived by AN-Najah National University students-Educational Sciences and Teacher Training College. Italso identifies the effects of demographic variables (Gender, GPA, Academic year) on the concept of democratic education.The study followed the descriptive analytical approach. A questionnaire of 30-item , covering justice and equality, freedom of expression and method of instruction, was developed, and administered to a sample of 175 students from Education college in AN-Najah National University. The results of the study showed the three domains of the study instrument received a high score Justice and equality rankedfirst, followed by freedom of expression, and method of instruction ranked last.However,there were no statistically significant differences in the concept of democratic education which could be attributed to gender, GPA, and academic year.
