Liver resection for colorectal liver metastases

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignancies in Palestine. Metastases to the liver occur in greater than 50% of patients and remain the biggest determinant of outcome in these patients. Liver resection is a safe procedure that achieves good long-term survival, and developed to be the principle management of colorectal liver metastasis. In this talk, we will present the rationale behind this development, and discuss its indications and outline its limitations.
