Spatial Variation of Quality of Life in Nablus City

The study aimed to reveal the spatial variation of the quality of life in the city of Nablus and its neighborhoods. For this purpose, a stratified random sample was used to collect data. This sample included all areas of the city, according to the relative weight of the population of each area. For the purpose of the study the city was divided into five areas: the eastern region, the western region, the northern mountain, the southern mountain, and the old city. The sample size was 509 persons with 4.3%± margin error if the sample.

The variance in the quality of life was measured from the city residents’ assessment of the quality of education, health, housing, infrastructure, internet and social media, communication services, entertainment facilities, environment and cleanliness, security and safety, and commercial services and the municipality of Nablus. The Likert scale was used for the measurement process.

The results of the study, showed that the evaluation of the sample members of the level of quality of life in the city of Nablus as a whole was low (with a mean of 2.16), and the evaluation was also low for all the fields that were questioned, where the level of quality of life for the fields ranged between 2.02 for the performance of Nablus municipality and 2.41 for the field of education.
