The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the state of Palestine being non-oil producing countries, renewable energy plays a major role in their energy strategies. This chapter investigates the wind energy potential in both countries. Furthemore, pilot and commercial installation of wind turbines are investigated. A wind power capacity of 578 MW has been installed and more are under progress in Jordan. Wind speed and wind potentials are moderate in Palestine. However, the installation of wind turbines is hindered by political reality in the country where control of land and import is not within the Palestinian Authority. Within the current rate of growth of wind power in Jordan, one GW could be reached in the next few years. In Palestine small wind turbines could be installed by individual owners, however medium and large turbines would be realized only if political reality changes on the ground.
