This study discusses the importance of the subject matter of examining the Efficiency of the Public Relations Department at Edward Said National Music Institute from its students’ point of view by measuring the Public Relations Department which are represented in cultural institutions for the promotion of Palestinian music culture.

This study aims to identify the efficiency of the Public Relations Service at the Edward Said National Music Institute from their students’ point of view, which includes identifying the tasks assigned to the Public Relations Department and the powers conferred upon it. And also measuring the efficiency of its performance from the perspective of the students at Edward Said National Music Institute.

The school community is an inner audience of the Edward Said National Music Institute, which is run by the Institute and the Public Relations Department, in addition to the associated students of the Institute. The research team adopted the analytical descriptive curriculum to achieve the objectives of this study, the resolution and interview were adopted as research tools. The resolution was distributed electronically to 70 randomly selected students at the Edward Said National Music Institute - Ramallah branch, and the semi-structured interview was held by the director of the institute.

Theory of systems, organizational information, the theory of excellence and the cultural translator model were used in this study.

The study has reached a number of results, most were: number of staff of the Public Relations Department of the Edward Said National Music Institute compared to the branches of the Institute, the attention of the Public Relations Department to the outside audience more than the internal public- in particular the investors and sponsors-.

Nevertheless, it was concluded that the Public Relations Department and its efficiency at Edward Said National Music Institute was 65% efficient.

The study found that the most important recommendations:

•Increase the number of staff in the Public Relations Department at Edward Said National Music Institute.

•Strengthen the role of public relations in all branches of the Institute equally.

•Workshops and training sessions are suggested too to be held for public relations practitioners at the Institute.

•Social media must be invested in more effectively.

•Create strong bonds between universities and schools that may be established in order to attract students and promote a positive cultural and musical image among all groups.

•Organization of interactive and recreational activities to strengthen the relationship between the Institute and the internal public.
