This study discussed (the Homonym in the Holly Qur’an, and its impact on jurisprudence differences; conjunctions as a model), with the aim of answering the following questions:

• What is the Homonym and how is it applied to conjunctions?
• What is the effect of the difference in the meanings of the conjunctions on the jurisprudence?

The study is an attempt to explain the meaning of this phenomenon and the reasons behind its existence, by addressing some conjunctions and their meanings through practical models from the Holly Qur’an, the different meanings of the same conjunctions were examined, in order to determine their effect on the jurisprudence provisions.

The main findings of the study revealed that:

• The Homonym is one of the reasons for the differences in the interpretation of the religious text, resulting in the emergence of schools of jurisprudence.
• To derive (Al hokum asshari) from texts that contain a conjunction that has multiple meanings, it is necessary to use clues to weigh one of the meanings.
• When weighting, should keep in our mind that the meaning that we have reached is not definitive, therefore it does not eliminate the possibility of rightness in the other sense, so all jurisprudence provisions must be respected.
