Abstract:

This paper discusses the issues of Arabic rhetoric which depend on the aesthetic in forming figures of thought and the figures of speech. Scholars rely on understanding the aesthetic of the images and analyzing their components, since it is considered to be the source of value as well as the basis of the artistic work. Scholars never move from the phenomenon of formal images to their overall context, or try to reach the semantic content that the creator tries to hide behind the formal aesthetic, that may be a luminous side, and it may hide an invisible or audible images in which the scholar needs great effort and in-depth understanding until it reaches the hidden contexts that disappear behind the aesthetic formations shown in the text.

The cultural criticism rejects the standard of the rhetorical image to be considered as a sole reference in understanding the overall context and tries to go beyond what is aesthetically pleasing, or trying to understand the ugliness that disappears behind the sensual aesthetic. Thus, The image will be received in its various dimensions, not in the aesthetic dimension and the real power will be for the hidden context, and the apparent text has no clues.
