An approach to estimate lifetime of power transformers, induction
motors and cables at low power quality is proposed. The mechanism
of decreasing the electrical equipment (EE) lifetime due to voltage
distortion and unbalance is analyzed. Numerical examples illustrated
the effect of voltage distortion, and unbalances on the EE lifetime
span reduction are presented.
