As a result of a comparative analysis of the kinematic characteristics of the technique of throwing handballs and balls weighing 1 kg, differences in the indicators of a highly qualified handball player and a first-class player were revealed. When throwing balls weighing 1 kg, the biomechanical structure of the throws was not disturbed according to the results of comparing the horizontal velocities of the arm joint, however, significant changes were observed in the average indicators of the maximum values of vertical speeds. Differences were identified in the average indicators of the maximum values of the angular velocities of the leg joints during the last step run-up, characterizing the speed of the run, which largely determines the technique of performing throws. The results of the conducted biomechanical analysis of the technique of throwing balls of different weights served as the basis for the development of recommendations for their use in the training of handball players of different qualifications.
