This paper discussed the issue of Islamic innovations and inventions in Islamic Jerusalem, focusing on the building "The Dome of the Rock as an Islamic Thought and Architectural Invention", concluding that this building is unique in its kind and is considered to be an actual addition to the realm of Islamic architectural heritage through its inventions in engineering, architecture and even construction . It also had an important role in crystallizing the foundations of Arab-Islamic architecture in the early Islamic period, in addition to being the basis for highlighting the Arab-Islamic identity of Jerusalem and its architectural and urban landscape.
