This research sheds the light on Adonis’s attitude against Sunnah in his book “The Constant and the Unstable”.
He considered Sunnah as a concept derived from understanding Quran, imitating the God’s work, and the prophet Mohammad PBUH is an imitator of the Quran methodology in dealing with the reality in his time, as Mohammad PBUH is a member of the environment that he raised in, and the nation is commanded to follow him in the understanding methodology, not in the merits of understanding the Quranic texts.
