As some are talking about „clean occupation‟ and the low cost of the Israeli occupation, it has become necessary to look for the causes. The problem has repercussions to the future of the Palestinian issue by gradually consolidating the occupation and its policies in the Palestinian territories. It makes it useless to discuss future solutions, whether with regard to settlement or the shrinking role of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. The first cause is associated with the Palestinian level. Examples may be seen in the restrictions imposed by the Oslo agreement items on the resistance, the unplanned Palestinian political and economic policies and the national divide. Consequently, Israel was able to thrive and target all the Palestinian parties, in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. At the Arab level, the Arab Spring resulted in worse dictatorships, which seek the US satisfaction and the persistence of their regimes. Moreover, some countries are already busy with internal conflicts.
