Research Summary: This research discusses the jealousy between couples from a Qur'anic perspective. Although the word "jealousy" is not mentioned in the Holy Qur'an at all, it contains some of its meaning and indicates its structure, which appears in a number of verses of the Holy Quran; according to what is mentioned from interpreters. The research dealt with the jealousy of Sarah from her husband’s other wife (Hajar), the jealousy of the wives of the Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and spoke also about the severity of Sa’d’s jealousy towards his wife. In contrast, there is a lack of jealousy in the case of Aziz Egypt, and other examples derived from the Qur'anic verses according to the interpreters. The research
discussed some of the suspicions related to the subject, which the interpreters are lenient to mention without evidence to be made by the argument or supported by proof. Some of the models of jealousy which are presented by the research varies between a militant who has exceeded the limit, and other one who tolerated to the limit. The research has concluded with the treatment of jealousy based on excess and
negligence.
