Zakah of Livestock and Fisheries raised for Production and Manufacturing

Abstract: The study tackles Zakah of Livestock and Fisheries designated for Production which could be considered as a source of income. The phrase investment funds is being used to indicate the livestock prepared for production including grazing livestock, poultry and fisheries. as for the grazing livestock (more than one year) or raised for trade the jurisprudence documents of different schools as well as the Sunnah of the Prophet have shown statement provision to pay it in addition to all of its aspects, investments funds, animal production, cattle farms (cows, sheep, camels), fresh or frozen meat, milk and all of its productions. All aspects of fisheries zakah which is considered as animal production (fish for trade, fish farms, mining fish). This study aims also at examining the view of some researchers that says there is no Zakah to be paid for the feed cattle raised for production as well as for the livestock according to what the interpreters have agreed on. One of this sty’s aims is to realize the religious rules of paying the livestock and fisheries Zakah regarding its range, religious conditions and obligations and some mathematic applications to clarify the way of paying this Zakah. This study has shown the obligation of paying this Zakah contradicting some of the modern interpreters in the right amount especially after dividing it into two parts: the first one is the wild livestock (cattle) the Zakah is paid on the capital and annual net income after discounting expenses in the percentage of (2,5%) Islamic year or (2,576%) Christian year. The second one is poultry and it is paid on the capital and net income if legitimate conditions are achieved and after discounting expenses as (2,5%) Islamic year, (2,576%) Ch. As for the sea livestock Zakah it’s likely to be paid if conditions were achieved according to Al Jomhour School equal to gold or silver in that case Zakah is paid on net income in case conditions are achieved after discounting all expenses.
