Jenan Qadous started her career at An-Najah University in Summer 2016. She teaches Lands and Real Estate Laws. Inspired by her M.A. specialization, Jenan considers justice as a life style. About her experience, while studying at UAE, she says, “Studying at Zayed University allowed me to establish my own way of legal thinking.” Jenan hopes that one day she will be able to serve the judicial system in Palestine from what she has learned in her Master’s, especially in the matters of courts and cases management.
Jenan also works as a legal translator for the EU project, that recently developed two Master’s Programs at An-Najah, Birzeit and Al-Quds universities. Her legal English skills have introduced her to many new legal fields; Jenan has translated over 20 legal documents from English into Arabic, which she used in her legal research.
As a teacher, Jenan aims to inspire her students to be better lawyers, judges and legislators, to change their lives and the life of their communities. Jenan would especially like to encourage female students to fall in love with law and continue working in the field, since only a few of them continue to work in the legal profession due to demands and challenges placed upon them in the Palestinian community. Jenan has a great academic relationship with her students, and she wishes to be a part of her student’s stories of success.
Jenan has a great interest in the field of law as literature, and she hopes that one day she will be able to contribute something valuable to this field.
