Before joining An-Najah in 2015, Sana has also worked at Al Quds Open University, teaching Commercial Law, Human Rights Law, Introduction to Law and Health Legislation.
Sana has an extensive experience working with local ngo’s, specifically those focusing on women and children’s affairs. For instance, she worked as a lawyer for Women for Life Association, offering legal aid and training for women about implementation of court verdicts and sentences and their impact on the accused. Her ability to interact with diverse populations, including volunteers and vulnerable populations, has enabled her to raise awareness about legal knowledge on the variety of topics, including labor rights, family law rights and inheritance law. Sana has also helped abused women by informing them about their rights and how to obtain needed help. Further, she has worked as a lawyer and legal representative for Palestinian Working Women Association for Development organization, where she conducted multiple activities for children and youth as well as training courses for both marginalized women and for women in positons of leadership. Sana’s passion to make a difference, led her to a number of volunteering opportunities with Women for Life Association, Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development, an organization for youth for social and legal activities, and also with Addameer Association, where she was in charge of handling political imprisonment cases. A busy mother of 3 girls, Sana would like to continue her academic career and pursue her PhD degree in either Criminal Law or International Criminal Law.
