Dr. Samer Mayaleh was born in Nablus, Palestine in 1969. He received the B.Sc. Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Northern Cyprus, Turkey, with High honor in 1993, the Graduate Certificate Degree in Microelectronics from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands in 1994, chartered Designer Degree (two-years Diploma) in Microelectronics from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands in 1996, and the Ph. D. in Electrical and electronics/Control engineering from EMU, Turkey in 1998.
From 1998 until 2002 he worked as an assistant. Prof of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in several Palestinian Universities; Palestine Polytechnic University, Alquds Open University, Palestine Technical University, Berziet University, Arab-American University-Jenin. since 2002 he has been with An-Najah National University at the Electrical Engineering Department.
In 2004-2005 he was appointed as the Dean of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, and 2012--2016 he was the Dean of both An-Najah national Community college and Hisham Hijjawi College.
His current Research interests include power electronics, Machine drive, control systems, embedded systems, Artificial Intelligence, and smart grids.
