This course is intended for students in allied health fields.
The purpose of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the therapeutic use of drugs in humans. It covers a wide range of drugs with emphasis on sites and mechanism of action, toxicity, fate and uses of major therapeutic agents.
This course teaches basic principles of Pharmacology and pharmacologic agents used in treating disorders of organ systems. Drug classes, interactions, and specific usages with functional and clinical applications are presented with relevant clinical examples.
