Course Description

This course introduces basic concepts, theory, and applications of modern physics, with the emphasis on quantum physics. It provides the fundamental understanding of the principles and laws of quantum physics and introduces basic physics concepts in the special theory of relativity. It explains also the wave-particle duality and presents the simplest atomic structure.

Course Objectives

understand the failure of classical theory and get ino the theory of special relativity.

emphasis on he dual nature of light.

disinguish between the defined position from classical mechanics point of view and the probability density from quantum mechanics point of view.

develope the concept of energy quantization

understand the concept of quantized energy level of the simplest atomic structure.
