Course Description

The aim of this course is to introduce students to research methods in the business and accounting fields of interest. To this end, students are expected to gain sufficient knowledge in the research philosophies, methodologies, and applications in accounting.

Course Objectives

This course is intended to enhance the skills of the students in order to be able to understand and practice the following topics:Enhance the skills of the students in order to be able to understand and practice the following topics:

  1. Understand the main concepts of research methods in accounting.
  2. Literature review and documentation.
  3. Problem identification and research question/s formulation.
  4.  Theoretical framework development.
  5. Designing research methods and economic models.
  6. Sampling.
  7. Data collection.
  8. Conducting and presenting descriptive statistics.
  9. Conducting and presenting inferential statistics.
  10. Interpreting research findings.
  11. Writing research.
Intended learning Outcomes and Competences

Students should be able to conduct a  research project using variety of methodlogies and skills.
