Course Description

                                                                                                                     

 The course introduce to the students the key concepts related to English Language curriculum. It covers the following : the definition of English curriculum, the main types of the curriculum, major elements of English curriculum. Development of the curriculum, curriculum evaluation.

Course Objectives

The course aims at introducing students to the concept of Curriculum, Syllabus and textbooks.

Intended Learning Outtcomes:  By the end of the semester students should be able to:

Develop an understanding about the concept of curriculum in general and English language curriculum in particular.

Demonstrate an understanding of principles and approaches related to curriculum development.

Differentiate the different types of syllabus.

Develop the main elements of curriculum, different types of curriculum

Analyze English for Palestine textbooks.
