Course Description

 The aim of the course is to help students and teachers to develop an understanding of the main principles of teaching English as a foreign language, familiarize them with the challenges  and difficulties facing both teachers and students, be aware of the active learning trends and current issues in foreign language learning.

Course Objectives

The course introduces students with new and current trends in teaching english language.  It familiarize students with new  techniques and methods that lead to active learning t also discusses the challenges face teachers and students in teaching and learning english.

Intended learning Outcomes and Competences

Develop and show understanding of FLT principles and practices

Discuss difficulties face teachers and students in learning the foreign language.

Suggest practical solution to face the challenges face teachers and students.

Show and exhibit their awareness of the current practice in active learning

Identify New and effective techniques and strategies for language learning

Conduct research on effective strategies for language teaching and learning.
