Course Description

It covers the following areas: The definition of the curriculum, the major elements of English curriculum. The process of evaluating English curriculum, curriculum development, the criteria of evaluation and methods of evaluations.  Moreover it cover the basic elements of evaluating Palestinian English language curriculum, after studying examples of English language curriculum evaluation in other countries.It covers the following areas: The definition of the curriculum, the major elements of English curriculum. Course Objectives

 

The course will introduce students with main concepts related to curriculum concepts and evaluation of curriculum in general and Palestinian English curriculum in particular.

Introducethe relationship between curriculum and different learning pedagogies.

Intended learning Outcomes and Competences

of the semester, the students are expected to:

  1. Be able to form different definition of curriculum concept.
  2. Analyze English Language textbooks
  3. Develop awareness of different kind of English syllabuses.
  4. Evaluate English Language Curriculum
