Course Description

This course will provide the student with how to turn the ideas into reality in cooperation with private sector and how to prepare a proposal for small enterprises and feasibility study. The course introduces students to the concept of entrepreneurship and enterprising, entrepreneurial skills, and differences between an entrepreneur and a regular businessman. Entrepreneurship seen from economic and social perspectives. How to motivate students to be entrepreneurs. The course reviews examples of successful entrepreneurs locally and worldwide. The course also include discussions and interviews with invited entrepreneurs. 

Course Objectives

The ultimate goal of this course is to prepare students for leadership and the direction of innovation in all its ambits, from the management of corporate innovation systems (new products, services, business models and processes) to the creation of new business opportunities (start-ups) and models (entrepreneurship).

Intended learning Outcomes and Competences

By the end of this course, it is expected that students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate theoretical understanding of the innovation process, entrepreneurship and their associated management issues in the business economy.
  2. Find, design and present high growth potential new ventures by looking for and evaluating potential business opportunities in Palestinian market.
  3.  Preparing business plans, designing and validating business models to build successful start-ups.
