The study aimed to explore the role of the media in countering rumors during crises
in Emirati society. The study's problem was the widespread spread of the COVID-19 pandemic,
which has become the focus of media attention and social media platforms. This has created a
fertile environment for the spread of rumors and misinformation, especially given people's need
for information related to the pandemic and its treatment methods. The study sample consisted
of 274 individuals residing in the UAE.
