Dr. Nidal Dwaikat is the Vice President for Planning, Development, and Quality Assurance at An-Najah National University. Dr. Nidal is an experienced Associate Professor with a demonstrated history of working in research and higher education. Skilled in Business Planning, Analytical Skills, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Quality Management. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused in Industrial Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Post-doctorate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. Dr. Nidal served as an assistant professor at Stockholm University and Lulea University of Technology. Dr. Nidal ‎has an extensive experience in planning, development, and quality assurance as he ‎worked in several local and international institutions as a business development ‎consultant and quality management system consultant. For example, he worked in ‎the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Palestinian ‎Federation of Industries, PADICO Holding, Palestine Plastic Industries Company, ‎ID Management Consultants (IDMC), Ritaj Managerial Solutions, the National ‎Carton Industry Company, and Palestine Poultry Company in addition of being a ‎member in the board of directors of several public shareholding companies. ‎He is also a co-founder of two start-up companies in Palestine and Sweden.  In addition, Dr. Nidal was the first one to design the entrepreneurship and innovation course at An-Najah National University. Dr. Nidal obtained extensive training modules on Innovation and entrepreneurship in the following leading US universities in March-April 2018, sponsored by the US Department of State and the US Consulate General in Jerusalem:

Dr. Nidal is an expert in university rankings, a researcher, and an associate professor. I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and a Master of Science in Quality Management from Politecnico di Torino in Italy. As Vice-President of Planning, Development, and Quality Assurance at An-Najah National University (Nablus, Palestine), Dr. Nidal is now in charge of the university's international ranking. Dr. Nidal has also worked for Stockholm University, Lulea University of Technology, and Uppsala University, and he continues to collaborate with them.
Dr. Nidal is current work focuses on developing effective techniques to improve university rankings and academic reputation, in addition to teaching and researching in the domains of Higher Education Quality Assurance, Accreditation, Rankings, Operations & Supply Chain Management, and Strategic Planning.
