Reem has been at An-Najah University for 5 years, teaching Civil Law, Insurance Law, and Labor Law. She has also worked at Arab American University in Jenin, where she honed her methodology in teaching by focusing on cases and practical issues. Reem is an expert in compensation determination for labor and car accidents and loves devoting her time to voluntary work with Tubas Charity, where she offers both emotional support and legal aid to underserved and marginalized populations, particularly women victims of abuse.
She has facilitated a number of workshops as a volunteer to raise awareness amongst Palestinian people on a number of issues, legal representation, legal rights and procedures. Currently, Reem is working on a critical study about the social security law, hoping to find gaps and critique the law to bring it to the decision makers’ attention. Her further research focuses on legal procedures for direct lawsuits, regarding injuries as a result of car accidents. She has also researched civil responsibility and legal consequences discussing the theoretical aspect of this theme.
Reem loves teaching and intends to improve her teaching methods to better bridge the practical knowledge with the theory. Reem continues to work on her personal and professional skills, as evident by her training in English at Amideast, in which she reached level 5. Building on her previous experience in coordination and facilitation of the insurance law training course for 120 students who attended an intense 16-hour class, and her door-to-door Intellectual Property campaign experience, Reem would like to organize similar events for students who wish to gain practical legal experience.
