After having graduated from An-Najah University, Ala’ started working as a lecturer teaching courses in criminal law. In his classes, Ala’ combines academic theory with practical hands-on activities, as evident in his creative use of legal cases in the classroom, where students get to solve the crime and become acquainted with the variety of crimes scenes. Currently, he is focusing on the topic of Cybercrimes and has recently presented his research paper about electronic terrorism at the First Cybercrime Conference in Palestine. Ala’ is also involved in the local campaign “Countering Cybercrimes” that seeks to raise awareness about said crimes, provide information about possible consequences, and inform others about the existing legal procedures that one can enact if a victim of such crimes. Ala’ passion for teaching has inspired him to continue his academic career and pursue a PhD program in Criminal Law.
