  • 2019-2021: Al Maqdisi-2019 Grant from the French consulate in Jerusalem. Project title: Identification of Palestinian patients with congenital disorders of glycosylation and characterization of their disorder at the biochemical and molecular levels.
  • 2012-2016: An Najah National University in Palestine/French consulate in Jerusalem joint scholarship covering my Master and PhD studies 
  • 2002-2009:  Awarded “the Palestinian President Scholarship" for being ranked fifth in Palestinian West Bank general secondary education examinations (scientific stream). This award covered my expenses during my study for MD degree

  • January, 2017 – present: Assistant professor of biochemistry at the faculty of medicine and health sciences, An Najah National University, Nablus, Palestine.

  • August, 2009 – August, 2010: Internship at Tulkarm Governmental Hospital, Bethlehem psychiatric hospital and Palestinian Ministry of health primary care clinics

  • Laboratory skills: Cell culture (yeast and mammalian cell lines), metabolic radiolabeling, RNAi transfection, subcellular fractionation, preparation of microsomes and radioactive lipid substrates, enzyme characterization and assays, TLC, HPLC and chemical analyses of reaction products (mainly carbohydrates), Western blot and oligosaccharide characterization.
