Biography

Dr. Mahmud M.S. Dwaikat is currently an associate professor at An-Najah National University (NNU) since 2013. Earlier, he spent 2 years in TU-Delft in the Netherlands, where he did research and teaching duties. He obtained his PhD (2010) from Michigan State University in Civil & Environmental Engineering with emphasis on structural behavior of steel structures under Fire. He worked with Prof. Kodur as a post-doctoral fellow in the field of fire proofing materials. He achieved, with distinction, his M.Sc. degree in Concrete Structures from Imperial College, London. He topped the department as a Bachelor Student of Civil Engineering in NNU in 2003/2004.

His current research interests including simplified design and modelling methods, structures in fire, finite element and material modelling.
