Mohammad Abu Shehab is an LL.M graduate from the American University Washington College of Law and a lecturer at An-Najah National University, Palestine.

Mohammad graduated from An-Najah University first in his class in 2012. After receiving a Scholarship from the Open Society Foundations (OSF) to study Master of Laws (LL.M) at the American University Washington College of Law (WCL), USA, he focused his studies on the field of International Legal Studies, with an emphasis on International Business.  During his stay in the US, Mohammad worked as a research assistant at the Washington College of Law’s Center for Human Rights Initiative for Human Rights in Business. There, he was conducting research, drafted reports and assisted in developing business and human rights training. His interest in business and human rights as they relate to military and private security companies led him to a project about the Montreux Document, which defines how international law applies to the activities of private and security companies in conflict zones, resulting in a paper he submitted to the UN.

Upon his return to Palestine, Mohammad started working as a Law professor at An-Najah. In addition to teaching courses related to Commercial Law, Corporations, International Business Law and Arbitration, Mohammad is working on the IT investment arbitration project.

In the future, he hopes to take part in drafting and implementing more efficient laws and regulations with respect to the IT investment business law.
