Biography

I have a PhD in Innovation economics from Lille 1 university in France, working as economic professor and head of economic department (Master and B.A program) at An-Najah National University from 2011-2015. I’m an expert in knowledge and innovation economic in Palestine and Arab region, writing policy papers and helping academic and public institutions to build knowledge-based strategies and publicprivate innovation networks-based planning.

Five years since I have acquired PhD, I have implemented some researches in innovation and knowledge economic. I implemented a project financed by the ministry of economic in Palestine about the relationship between firms’ labour productivity and the employment of innovation systems in the Palestinian service sector. I’m pursuing research in novel platforms related to industrial economic and innovation economics. My expertise in econometrics modeling and data analysis through software like SAS, STATA, and E-views, can be brought to bear on this line of research. During the last 4 years of experience of working as economic professor and head of economic department, I have participated in many workshops, seminars and conferences at local and international level. Most of these activities were to provide public policies for Palestinian government, public and private sectors in order to increase performance, strategic planning and capacity building.
