Doctor Abdal Khaliq Essa was born in the West Bank city of Nablus in 1970. He got his B.A. degree in Arabic Language & Literature in 1996 from An-Najah National University in Nablus. In 1999 Dr. Essa pursued his M.A. degree in Arabic at the same university. Three years later, he travelled to Jordan and received his Ph.D in the Philosophy of Arabic Language & Literature at Jordan University. Dr. Essa filled a lot of academic and administrative positions: He is currently serving as the dean of the School of Humanities Sciences at An-Najah University. Dr. Essa was also the chair of the Arabic Language Department (2007-2011). In 2000 Dr. Essa was a lecturer in the Language Centre (Teaching Arabic to Non-native Speakers) at
Jordan University. In 2002 he moved to another Jordanian university (Philadelphia University) to teach Arabic Language & Literature. In 2013, Dr. Essa came back home and started teaching at Bir Zeit University in Ramallah.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Essa published plenty of research papers and book chapters. He also had exceptional and distinguished participation in a lot of local and international conferences.
