In the framework of a WAsP wind atlas project for the West Bank, Palestine, a proposal of quality control for wind data is presented, based on two family tests, namely, global tests and individual tests. Global tests are anemograms, time series arrangement, missing data and anomalous patterns, whereas individual tests are range test, step check test, repetitions test and correlation test. Effectiveness of all these tests is demonstrated by their application on the observations coming from 10 meteorological stations. A topographical map is also obtained
from the elevation files published by the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM).
