This research investigates a detailed profile of pedestrian traffic crashes in Nablus Governorate. Traffic crash records from the Police Department were collected for years 2012 – 2016. Pedestrian crashes constituted approximately 20 percent of all crashes in Nablus, which is high. The average annual pedestrian injuries were 280. The highest percentage of pedestrian crashes occurred between noontime and early afternoon, on Thursdays, and in May. The highest pedestrian injuries were for male children of less than 10 years, with an average of seven fatalities per year. Fatalities and serious injuries constituted 7% of the total pedestrian crashes.

Nablus City had the highest number of crashes (79.4%) and among the highest rates. The highest rates crashes occurred in Zawata followed by Huwarra and Beit Wazan, which are located at the perimeter of Nablus City. The results are useful for the traffic police to allocate human resources to the critical areas and times.
