ATLAS (A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) is one of the four main experiments at the
Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. It is a general-purpose detector, looking for
fundamental physics and new discoveries. Many upgrades have been planned, due to
the continuous increase in the Luminosity of LHC and the increase in the Centre-of-
Mass energy. In 2023 - 2025 The inner detector will be replaced by the new inner tracker
(ITK).
