Intention to Use Electronic Billing in the Palestinian Telecommunication Industry: An Empirical Study Based on Technology Acceptance Model

This study investigates the costumer’s acceptance and intuition to use the electronic billing, concentrating on the electronic billing technologies utilized in the context of Palestinian telecommunication industry. The main aim of the current study is to analyze the acceptance level of electronic billing technology, as well as to determine the factors that affect the intention to use of this technology by the consumers in Palestine. This study extended the traditional Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by external factors related to the Palestinian context including: the internet experience, service quality, security and accessibility. The empirical results show that the proposed model is applicable in the context of Palestinian telecommunication industry to determine the factors that affect the acceptance and usage of electronic billing. Finally, the results of this reveal interesting implications for the practitioners in the telecommunication industry regarding Electronic Billing technology.
