Students’ Attitudes Towards Their Faculty Members and Students Predictions of Their Achievement

This study aimed at exploring the attitudes of An-Najah students towards their faculty members on one hand and the predictions of their achievement on the other due the variables of the study are gender, cumulative average, and type of college. To achieve this purpose the researchers constructed a questionnaire of (30) items. The validity examined, and the reliability of the questionnaire was tested using Cronbach -Alpha which gave result between (0.67-0.94). The sample of study consisted of (457) students (219) males and (238) females. To answer the study questions the researchers used means, standard deviations, percentile, and other non-parametric statistical methods. The results of the study showed that the students’ attitudes towards their faculty members were positive while their attitudes towards human and professional traits were less positive. It also showed that gender and college type were statistically significant, but there were no significant differences due to other variables. A number of recommendations were put forth. For instance; increasing interaction opportunity between students and their faculty members through workshops, providing the faculty members with new professional development programs.
