The deployment of balanced scorecard in health care organizations: is it beneficial? A systematic review

This systematic review assessed how balanced scorecard implementation affected patient satisfaction, health care worker satisfaction and financial performance in health care organizations. Twenty studies met the inclusion criteria. The review found positive associations with patient satisfaction and financial performance, while effects on worker satisfaction were smaller and the evidence included studies with substantial risk of bias.
