The French ERL accelerator called PERLE is under construction on the campus of Paris-Saclay university. PERLE is an Energy Recovery Linac which aims to reach 250 MeV 20 mA cw, namely 5 MW of beam power. First brick of this accelerator is the injector whom the main components are the DC photo-injector and a booster holding 4 superconducting cavities. This paper will give an overview of the injector’s design, technical details about major components and the schedule of the construction.
