My short story is inspired by the events which took place during the invasion of the Palestinian city of Nablus by the Israeli Army in 2002, which resulted in the interruption of normal life including education, social interactions and accessibility to health care. In addition, there was psychological trauma from exposure to shelling,shooting and beatings that led to injuries, disabilities anf loss of life> Thwe plot of the story describes the brutality of the soldiers inflicted on a _Palestinian family while arresting the husband. After the arrest takes place, the woman discovers that her daughter had fever. Desperate to take her to the hospital when the whole city was under strict curfew, the woman roams the streets hysterically. The story ends tragically with the mother shot by the soldiers and the daughter mesmerized near her mother's dead body.
