This article examines the use of social media for grassroots mobilization and activism in
Palestine. This article employs qualitative research methods, conducting interviews with 12 par-
ticipants involved in grassroots mobilization and activism. Data were collected through
semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically to identify patterns and key findings. The
study has revealed significant engagement with social media platforms, particularly Facebook,
among grassroots mobilization and activism participants. The interviewees emphasized that
they use social media platforms to share information about Palestine and Palestinians and to
raise awareness and foster global solidarity. However, they focused on the challenges they have
been facing regarding connectivity, censorship, privacy, and security risks. Despite these chal-
lenges, most of the interviewees asserted that social media platforms are crucial for mobiliza-
tion endeavors and for raising awareness about social, political, and human rights issues. Future
research should explore the dynamics between social media, grassroots mobilization, and activ-
ism, and investigate the long-term effects and sustainability of these efforts.
