The spread of misinformation, disinformation, and conspiracy theories about the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines on social media platforms has sparked widespread alarm among responsible authorities because of its potential to contribute to vaccine hesitancy. This study aims to identify the responses of university students in Palestine to social media rumours, disinformation, and misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine, and to investigate their perceptions of trusted sources of COVID-19 vaccine information on social media. A web-based, cross-sectional study was conducted from 25 May to 13 October 2021 using the convenience sampling method. A self-administered anonymous questionnaire was designed and distributed to the study respondents through email and various social media platforms.
