This revision represents a short summary on magnetic coupling resonance – wireless power transfer (MCR-WPT) methodologies, analysis and design. It introduces the basic structures of MCR-WPT system and modeling methods. Such techniques are used in electric vehicle and mobile phone wireless charging. Circuit theory models are used to investigate system parameters such as transmission efficiency, impedance matching, frequency reduction, and obviously variations with coupling quality. The load matching factor and the transfer quality factor are investigated with relevance to transfer efficiency, the optimal load matching to achieve maximum transfer efficiency was included. The important cases of a constant-voltage receiver and a constant-current receiver was considered, which aids in the design of WPT systems for EVs. Finally, some simulation results were demonstrate
